Course specification
The A-Level Philosophy qualification has been designed to help students understand why society is the way it is today. Students will explore a variety of topics such as epistemology, moral philosophy, meta-physics of God and the Meta-physics of the mind. Within these, they will focus on what knowledge and truth is, what is right and wrong, the existence and nature of God and what the mind is. Through these, they will be able to apply philosophical theories to real world examples, studying ancient and modern philosophers and their ideas. These four units will not only allow students to form their own opinions on the big questions of the world, but also provide them with the knowledge necessary to succeed as A-Level philosophers.
