Our amazing students continue to make us #OaksAndProud every day at Retford Oaks Academy!

This time the spotlight falls on Chloe T in year 9 who has won gold in the regional heats of the National Lifesaving Championships, 12-14 years category.

She has been a part of the Retford and District Lifesavers since 2019 and represented her club in the competition.

Chloe took part in all four events, including a 10m rope throw requiring a casualty to be rescued in under 45 seconds, and two simulated emergency response competitions, which tested Chloe’s knowledge and competency of lifesaving and first aid.

Our star student excelled during the competition in all events and scored the title of Gold Medalist Regional Champion.

Chloe’s mum, Hayley, is positively bursting with pride; “Even if I say so myself she absolutely knocked it out of the water and I couldn’t be any prouder!”

Well done again Chloe, we can’t wait to follow your journey to the National Finals this November.
