On Thursday 7 July the careers team took a small group of our Year 10 students to Nottingham University as part of UK National Manufacturing Day.
Our students thoroughly enjoyed a tour of the state of the art Advanced Manufacturing building, which holds some of the most advanced manufacturing equipment in the world.
They saw lots of different robotics in action, automated machinery, 3D printing composites and ultra precision machining. We even witnessed them making the back of a chair for an Aston Martin car!
All the students had a great time and it was an excellent opportunity for them to see what a career in engineering may involve.
