We are thrilled to announce that on Friday 6 October Retford Oaks Academy was awarded a gold Artsmark award.
Artsmark by their own definition is the only creative quality standard for schools and education settings, accredited by Arts Council England.
The award was achieved in recognition of our ‘continuing commitment to inspiring young people and staff to engage in high quality arts education.’
The high-quality feedback we received highlighted how our dedication ‘further enhanced positive relationships between staff and students’ and how our students ‘have regular opportunities to work alongside arts and culture professionals, including dancers and actors, increasing their enjoyment of learning, and developing their cultural capital.’
We can’t wait to continue to demonstrate our dedication to the arts with both our upcoming Christmas Cabaret and 2024 academy musical.
