A small group of our students proudly represented Retford Oaks Academy at the 80th anniversary celebration of Victory in Europe held in the market square today.
They stood beautifully for the speeches, readings and two minute silence, before being invited into the town hall for refreshments.
Our students were highly complimented by many members of the public on their ‘superb’ behavior, alongside personal words of thanks from the Reverend Felicity Ferriter for attending the celebration.
Thank you very much to the Royal British Legion, Retford and District Branch for organising the ceremony today.
