Today, our students had a unique and exciting experience thanks to a visit from two professional dog handlers and their amazing working dog, Whiskey!
As part of our careers education programme, students learned all about the vital roles that dogs play in the prison service and drug detection work. The handlers shared insights into the training process, career pathways, and real-life scenarios where dogs like Whiskey make a huge difference.
Whiskey even gave a live demonstration of his incredible sniffing skills – locating hidden objects with precision and enthusiasm! It was a fantastic opportunity for students to see how dedication, teamwork, and training come together in this rewarding career field.
