Over the past term, a group of our sixth form boys have been working closely with our school mentor, Dermot, exploring topics such as confidence, self-esteem, self-image and positive masculinity, all whilst baking delicious cakes and biscuits together. These lunchtime sessions have sparked meaningful conversation, reflection, along with the creation of some truly delicious treats!

This unique blend of mentoring and baking has become the heart of the ‘Fabulous Baker Boys’ project, an initiative driven by teamwork, creativity and a shared goal. As a group, the boys have set themselves an ambitious challenge – to raise £1,000 for the British Heart Foundation.

Today, the project reached a significant milestone. Thanks to the group’s careful planning, teamwork and determination, they successfully secured sponsorship from the Asda Community Fund. This support will provide key ingredients for their baked goods, helping them take a big step closer to reaching their £1,000 target.

The Fabulous Baker Boys have already shown remarkable enthusiasm, commitment and creativity. With more events in the pipeline, we’re excited to see what they achieve next!

Congratulations to Dominic, Harry, Thomas O, Thomas K, Matthew, Oliver and Henry for all your hard work so far. We’re so proud of your continued commitment to becoming confident young men navigating the world with positivity and purpose.
