This year we are excited to offer prospective families and students a choice of three different open events in preparation for September 2026 admission.
We’re confident that we can guarantee an exceptional first-experience of our academy, whether attending our traditional summer open evening, one of our open mornings, or our ‘get to know Retford Oaks’ Q&A during the autumn term.
Families are not limited to attending one event – we are delighted to share our academy with you in as many ways as possible!

Summer 2025 open evening
We’re excited to invite families of year 5 pupils to our Summer Open Evening on Thursday 26 June – a great opportunity to discover what makes Retford Oaks Academy a popular choice for secondary education in Retford and the surrounding areas.
Join us for a welcome talk from our Principal, Luke Dickinson, and enjoy exploring our vibrant academy through hands-on activities and interactive demonstrations across all subject areas.
Open mornings

We invite families to attend a Q&A session with our principal and enjoy a small-group tour in a relaxed environment.
Open evening can be overwhelming for some children when considering their secondary school options.
We prize inclusivity over everything, and our open mornings are an excellent alternative for families who would benefit from extra support with the transition period in a quieter, personalised environment.
