This qualification is on par with A Levels and has been built in close collaboration with employers and professional bodies to ensure they have necessary recognition and value. Students will study a range of engineering disciplines and processes. The course is split into 4 units covering – materials technology and science, mechanical systems, engineering design and
production and manufacturing.
Engineering is an exciting and stimulating course which brings together theory and practical assessment to create an engaging journey for students. All learners have access to a range of both traditional and modern engineering manufacturing equipment and machinery and will be expected to competently utilise these in order to achieve. Students will also be required to learn high level CAD/CAM skills as well as working as a team to produce components.
