Course specification

Applied General Business is a varied and interesting course, allowing students to develop skills that are transferable to many areas of the business world, such as working in a team, communication skills and invaluable analysis and evaluation skills.

The course will give you the opportunity to learn and understand the fundamental business and entrepreneurial knowledge and skills associated with working within a business enterprise. You will understand the way in which any venture in business (big or small) is a function of the relationship between its people, its marketing, its finance and its ability to deliver operationally upon its commitments.

You will be assessed on not only your business knowledge and understanding, but also the way in which this knowledge and understanding can be applied to shape your practical skills in thinking and realising your own plans about business.
